For many decades the World has been debating whether the ability to speed read is real. The Wikipedia article on speed reading used to state that reading over 1500 words per minute is an impossible feat. History has many cases of people being able to read multiple lines of text instantaneously with comprehension and the ability to recall. While the rest of the world debates whether or not it is possible, not only have we trained dozens of our clients to do so, we have also been continually researching, developing and evolving the process and knowledge for others to do the same. In this case study of a recent client we worked with you get to see one of our clients evolve to become one of our fastest reading students on our three-week speed reading course.
Yolanda Bester is the CEO and co-founder of British Academy Cambridge Highschool in Pretoria, South Africa. A blessing of the Zoom online classes is that we have been able to record and document each client’s progression and evolution over the duration of the course and allows you to experience first-hand what I see when working with our students. Yolanda’s no-holds barred/wear your heart on your sleeve personality and expression allows you to see her mental and emotional progression as she increased her reading speed on the course. Every client is unique so results will always vary from client-to-client, however Yolanda was one of those who had a natural ability to be able to read large volumes of text with high levels of comprehension. In this series of videos watch how one of our clients progresses from a 200 word per minute reader to eventually finish our course at an astounding reading speed of 14000 words per minute with high levels of comprehension.
